December - The Gift of Grace

This is the time of year that everyone wishes to receive a very special gift.  You, my child, have already received a very special gift, the Gift of Grace. Grace is created by God and given to us on the basis of this point alone.  Christianity is set apart from any other religion in the world. Every other approach to God is a bartering system; if I do this, God will do that.   I’m either saved by works (what I do), emotions (what I experience), or knowledge (what I know). Christianity has no trace of negotiation at all.  Man is not a negotiator; man has no grounds for which to negotiate. Today and forevermore, God’s grace is available to all whose hearts are broken and whose spirits are contrite. The gift of grace is free to you because of God. Those who find me find life, and the LORD will be pleased with them. (Proverbs 8:35)
