March - What or Who Are You Living For?

by Sandra Fairbanks on March 01, 2026

Remember when a teacher or some other person asked, “what do you want to be when you grow up–any answers?”  The question now is –who do you want to serve God or money? Are you working to live in a house on the “good” side of town or live eternally in heaven with Jesus? -John 14:2 says, “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” Are you working and living to have money and stuff, a big bank account, the latest iPhone or the newest car? -Matthews 6:19 says, “Lay not up for yourselves treasure upon the earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal.” -Luke 12:34: “For where your treasure is, there will your heart also be.” -Haggai 1:6: “Ye have sown much and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put into a bag with holes. Are you living just for yourself? Romans 15:1 says, “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, not to please ourselves. The most important answer is how will you answer what or whom were you living for at the Throne of God.
